Manchester Health Ventures Ltd (MHV) is established as a wholly-owned company of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, to manage and develop its valuable and diverse intellectual property assets.
MHV has access to the IP pipeline of one of the UK’s largest translational research hospitals that works in close partnership with the University of Manchester (and other stakeholders - e.g. , Greater Manchester Academic Health Science Network (GM AHSN), Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC), TRUSTECH - the North West NHS Innovation Service, and the University of Manchester Intellectual Property Company (UMIP)).
MHV is located in Citylabs which is the new bio-health innovation centre on the clinical academic campus, at the heart of a large and growing cluster of medical technology and ICT companies.
MHV is managing a large and growing portfolio of IP assets that range from early ideation phase right through to a number of products entering clinical trials. MHV is also interested in innovative ideas and solutions from companies, universities and individuals that might be co-developed or made ready for implementation into NHS systems.
